Channe ka pulao

All You need:

2 cups White Channe (chickpeas)
2 cup rice
1 sliced Onion
2 tomatoes
1 Bay leaf
3-4 Green and black cardamon
1 Javitri (mace)
2 cloves
Salt to taste
1 tsp Red chili powder
2 tsp ghee/olive oil

METHOD:

Dip channe overnight or for 3-4 hours in water and then pressure cook them (one whistle and then simmer the heat and keep it for half and hour) When boiled keep them aside..(save the drained water in a bowl)
Heat Oil/ghee in Pressure cooker and add all the spices (bay leaf, cardamon, javitri, cloves)


Add Onions and sauté them until brown...


Now add tomatoes and mash them, mix & cook the paste...


Add boiled Channe and seasonings (salt, red chip powder)


Add Rice and 31/2 - 4 cups water (use the water from the channe is not enough add plain water to it)



Close the lid and pressure cook (1 whistle)
Your Pulao is ready to be served... Garnish it with freshly chopped Cilantro leaves
