ALL YOU NEED:
3 tsp moong dal/ chana dal/ urad dal (presoaked for 15-20 min)
2-3 red dried chili
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 Anise
1/2 bay leaf
Few Curry leaves
1/2 cup Peanuts
generous pinch of turmeric powder
1 big lemon
Salt to taste
Cilantro leaves
3-4 tsp olive oil
METHOD:
Boil rice in water with turmeric water...Make sure the rice grains are separate once cooked...
In another pan heat oil and roast peanuts...
Add Cumin seeds to other side of the pan with oil, chili and anise...
Also add bay leaf, mustard seeds, moong dal, curry leaves ( It's hard to find curry leaves here so i didn't use it)
Cook all these for a little while until the dal is little fried....
Add the boiled rice and salt to this mixture....
Mix well, and squeeze the whole lemon on top...:D
Add the green chilies and cilantro leaves on top...:D
Lemon rice are ready to be served with Curd (plain yogurt)
