Moong Dal Badi

This is 1st time I ever ate this thing cooking was a secondary but came out well..:D
I loved it and will definately be making Moong Dal badis at home soon enough...;)

ALL YOU NEED:

1 cup Moong Dal Badi
1 large onion
2 tomatoes
2 green chilies
1 tsp Garlic and ginger paste
Salt to taste
1 tsp cumin seed
3-4 pinches of Red chili powder
1 1/2 cup water
Cilantro to Garnish
2 tsp oil

METHOD:

Wash and soak the badi in water for 15 mins...
Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and onions...

Once the onions are translucent stir in the badis...:D

I added about 1/2 cup water so that the stuff barely dips in and closed the lid, wait for a whistle and open the lid as soon as it cools down...

Stir in tomatoes, green chilies, garlic and ginger paste... Also salt & red chili powder...:D
Add 1 or 1/2 cup water (depending on how you want the curry thick or soupy) again and let it cook for 15-20 min...
Make sure the moong dal badi is soggy and cooked..:D

I didn't make it soupy that's why this little water...;) Garnish with Cilantro leaves and it's ready to be served with Rotis....:D
You can also squeeze a lemon to make it little more chatpatta...:P
