A classic vegetarian dish to go with spaghetti instead of meatballs...:P
All you need:
Shredded Paneer (Indian Cheese)
1 boiled potato
2 Cups Tomato Puree
1 cup water
2 Cups Tomato Puree
1 cup water
Parmesan cheese
Mozerrella cheese
1 chopped Onion
1 Carrot
2 chopped Green onions
Cilantro
Green Chilies
Spices:
Cumin seeds
2 bay leaf
4 black and green cardamon
1/2 cinnamon stick
Salt & Pepper
Herbs
Oregano
Italian seasoning
Red chili powder
METHOD:
In a pan heat oil and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon stick,black and green cardamon
Add onions and cook until brown
Add carrots and any other vegetables you want
Add tomato puree and water to this mixture after the vegetables are all cooked well... add rest of the spices to it and leave the curry with lid for about 1/2 an hour...
In another bowl, take the paneer and mix it up with mashed boiled potato...add herbs, red chili powder, cinnamon powder, Salt & Pepper...
Mix this mixture well and add Parmesan and Mozzarella cheese to it....
Now form Medium circles with this mixture..apply a little oil in your hand before you form circles...
You can either bake these or fry them...
I baked...
Let them stay for 15-20 mins and them add them to the tomato mixture and cook for a little while...
Garnish with green chilies, green onions and Cilantro leaves....Enjoy them with spaghetti
